Frequently asked questions.

Synthetic or natural brushes?

If you're vegan, or simply don't want to use animal-hair brushes, synthetics are for you. The technology has come a long way and today they work with creamy and liquid products as well as with eyeshadows and powders. If you prefer to keep the unique quality of a natural brush, we look for brands that care about animal safety and welfare. They need more care when washing and maintaining, but they are still used by the best makeup artists in the world: natural hair has scales that hold the product and release it more slowly, which gives a more premium finish.

How do you clean brushes?

With proper soap and brush-cleaning accessories, which are in the Hygiene collection. Wash with warm water until every trace of dirt and soap is gone, squeeze out the excess water and leave them to dry flat.

Which brush do I use for foundation and powder?

Choose according to the size of the face you're working on: bigger faces, bigger brushes; smaller faces, smaller brushes. The denser the foundation finish, the denser the brush needs to be; the more liquid the foundation, the less dense it can be. We're here to help with all your questions, talk to us.

Which brush do I use to blend eyeshadow?

It depends on where you want to blend the shadow, the size of the eyes you're working on and how light-handed the person blending is. The best thing is to talk to us so we can give you the best solutions. As a reference, Teresa's favourites: for smaller eyes, the 240 My Fluffy Crease; for medium to large eyes, the 226 My Tapered Blender Brush; and for a brush that does a bit of everything, blends and applies, the 223 My Fluffy Blender.

How do I organise and transport my brushes?

With the My Big Brush Buddy, with the My Belt Buddy (a brush belt with a PVC cover), with the Cylindric Brush Holder from Kryolan or with the Small Brush Pouch.
