Foundation and coverage level depend on your personal taste, how natural you want the result to be and what you want to cover. Covering melasma or strong discolouration completely with light coverage isn't possible, but you can combine a skin tint over the whole face with Dermacolor only on the areas to cover. If, on the other hand, you like that more doll-like finish, your path is more coverage and powder.

Tattoos always need something with full coverage and neutralisation. If you want a more natural finish, but less resistant to friction, the Dermacolor trio (concealer, powder and setting spray) is the way to go. In every case they are darker, less saturated tones than your skin tone. So first find the right orange shade for you (it's what neutralises, with the Digital Complexion Neutralizer or a colour adjuster) and only then your skin tone, with a concealer such as the Concealer Circle, the Digital Complexion Concealer, the HD Skin Concealer or the Re-Generation Concealer. If you need more coverage, use Dermacolor on that area.

Set with powder (the Translucent Powder 50 g or the Close-Up powders from Nabla) and finish with a setting spray. The Fixing Spray from Kryolan is an aerosol, so save it for special days. For regular use, go for something gentler, in mist form, like the Mist & Fix from Make Up For Ever, the Mist Potion from Karla Cosmetics or the Colorfix Magic Set & Seal from Danessa Myricks.

With the Freckle Maker from Nabla (silicone applicator, water-based formula) or with the Freckle Maker Pen, a felt-tip pen that gives micro-detail without needing to blend. The trick is not to make symmetrical dots all the same size, which looks more artificial. Let your hand work more freely.
